Page Size & Margin Sizer for Google Docs™

Most issues are caused by browser caching or Google permission conflicts. Follow the steps below in order — you usually won’t need more than one section.

Quick Fix (Try This First — fixes most issues)

If the add-on won’t install, keeps asking for permission, or shows errors:

Open an Incognito / Private window.
Go to Google Docs.
Open the add-on and approve permissions.
Close Incognito.
Reopen Google Docs normally and try again.

Issue: “Action not allowed” or features don’t work

This happens when Google permissions are incomplete or cached incorrectly.

Fix

Close all Google Docs tabs.
Reopen your document.
Open the add-on again.
If the error remains:
- Follow the Quick Fix above.

Issue: “Bad Request (Error 400)” or ERR_TOO_MANY_REDIRECTS

This is caused by stuck Google login cookies or multiple Google accounts in one browser.

Fix (Chrome)

Sign out of all extra Google accounts.
Clear cookies for:
- script.google.com
- docs.google.com
- accounts.google.com
Fully close Chrome.
Reopen Chrome and reinstall the add-on.

Alternative: Install once using Incognito / Private mode.

Issue: Add-on looks outdated or features are locked incorrectly

Your browser is loading a cached version.

Fix

Close Google Docs.
Reopen the document.
Open the add-on again.
If still incorrect:
- Follow the Quick Fix above.

Full Reset (Guaranteed Fix)

Use this only if nothing else works.

Go to your Google Account → Security.
Remove Page Size & Margin Sizer for Google Docs™ under Third-party access.
Close all browser windows.
Reopen your browser.
Reinstall the add-on from the Google Workspace Marketplace.
Approve permissions when prompted.
